LOS ANGELES -- Sour Honey, a new play by Charles Harlander, ends its scheduled run Feb. 7 at the Metropole Theatre Works in Hollywood. The show, directed by Jeffrey McFarland, opened Jan. 15.
Set in a squalid loft in Manhattan's East Village, the play deals with such things as alcohol abuse and urban alienation. The conflict centers on two sisters who struggle to save each other from self-destruction.
Featured in the cast are Jennifer Curran, Jeriden Frye, William Knight, Alex Giordano, Kendra Smith, Allan Styer, James Kelton and Cherise Bangs. Erin Kavanagh, who plays a character named John the troubadour, has written (and performs) original music for the production.
Sour Honey plays Fri. & Sat. at 8 PM; Sun. at 6 PM through Feb. 7, 1999 at the Metropole Theatre Works, 1277 N. Wilton Place. Call (323) 876-4104.
