According to the New Group, "Movie producer Bunty Berman has long been the toast of Bombay, but now Raj, his biggest star and best friend, is beginning to lose his lustre. The Big Knife (Broadway at the American Airlines Theatre). Roundabout Theatre Company's Broadway revival of Clifford Odets' The Big Knife stars Bobby Cannavale, C.J. Wilson, Marin Ireland, Chip Zien, Richard Kind, Brenda Wehle and Reg Rogers. Here's how Roundabout bills the work: "In the golden age of Hollywood cinema, actors may have all the glory, but studio execs have all the power. The Hoff-Federated studio has had its most successful star, Charlie Castle, over a barrel ever since it helped cover up a mistake that could have ended his career. When a woman with insider knowledge threatens to come forward, the studio heads will stop at nothing to protect Charlie's secret... but how far is he willing to go before he quits the movie business for good? Set in a glossy world of rumor mills and rocky friendships, Clifford Odets' The Big Knife is about living the life you always wanted but wanting something more." Visit RoundaboutTheatre.org.

Bull (Off-Broadway at 59E59 Theaters). Bull, the companion piece to British playwright Mike Bartlett's three-person drama Cock that is part of the Brits Off Broadway line-up, features Adam James, Eleanor Matsuura, Neil Stuke and Sam Troughton. Here's how it's billed: "Two jobs. Three candidates. This would be a really bad time to have a stain on your shirt… Bull is a razor-sharp play about office politics; or playground bullying – depending which side you're on." Visit BritsOffBroadway.com. Old-Fashioned Prostitutes (A True Romance) (Off-Broadway at The Public Theater). Rocco Sisto, Stephanie Hayes, Alenka Kraigher, Nicolas Norena and David Skeist star in The Public Theater world premiere of Richard Foreman's Old-Fashioned Prostitutes (A True Romance). According to the Public, "Snapshots from an enigmatic fairy-tale in which Suzie, the elusive coquette, brings Samuel to his knees — from where he worships a life he only half understands, Old-Fashioned Prostitutes (A True Romance) is an expressionistic chamber-play that twists emotional heartache into a landscape of continual mental invention."
