Intimacy (Off-Broadway at The Acorn Theatre). The New Group's world premiere of Thomas Bradshaw's new play Intimacy includes David Anzuelo, Austin Cauldwell, Ella Dershowitz, Laura Esterman, Daniel Gerroll, Déa Julien and Keith Randolph Smith. "Come on a surprising journey with three families in a well-manicured, multi-racial American town," according to press notes. "When secrets and sexual desires suddenly explode, pleasant neighborly relations take some shocking and transformative turns. Following his recent premieres Burning (The New Group, 2011) and Job, Thomas Bradshaw is back with a boisterous and revealing comedy about race, sex and intimacy." Visit TheNewGroup.com.

Handle With Care (Off-Broadway at the Westside Theatre Downstairs). Handle With Care, a new play by Emmy Award nominee Jason Odell Williams, features Tony Award nominee Carol Lawrence, Sheffield Chastain, Charlotte Cohn and Jonathan Sale. "Handle With Care tells the story of a young Israeli woman who reluctantly travels with her grandmother to America," press notes state. "Fate and hilarious circumstances bring together the young woman, who has little command of English, and a young American man with little command of romance. Is their inevitable love an accident? Hamlet/Saint Joan (Off-Broadway at the Lynn Redgrave Theatre). The Bedlam productions of William Shakespeare's Hamlet and George Bernard Shaw's Saint Joan are both directed by Eric Tucker. Played in rep and with four actors — Edmund Lewis, Tom O'Keefe, Andrus Nichols and Eric Tucker — Hamlet and Saint Joan are described as "boldly theatrical, stripped down, immersive productions of classic plays by one of America's most innovative downtown theatre companies."
