Norbert Leo Butz and Julie Bowen help The Actors Playground Theater Company kick off their Monday Night Reading Series, Oct. 7, at 8PM. The first reading will be of Edward Vilga's The Trouble With You.

Butz was last seen on stage in Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years and right before that in his Tony Award-nominated performance in Thou Shalt Not. He is also involved in the reading of the up and coming musical Feelin' Electric.

Bowen is the current female lead in NBC's hour-long comedy "ED." (The show — filmed locally in northern New Jersey — has been known to guest star various theatre actors. Among them have been Amour's Melissa Errico, Seussical's Kevin Chamberlain, Into the Woods' Gregg Edelman, Noises Off's Richard Easton, Man of La Mancha's Ernie Sabella, Oklahoma!'s Shuler Hensley and Copenhagen's Philip Bosco.) The actress has appeared in such movies as "Happy Gilmore," "Multiplicity" and "Joe Somebody."

The reading will also star Sue Costello, Stacey L, Brass and Alex Tavis. Future Monday Night readings will include Chad Gilkison and Scott Parrish's Far From The Tree (Nov. 11) and Karen Odyniec's Love In A New York Minute (Nov. 25). The Nov. 18 is still being decided upon. All subject to change.

Admission to the readings is a $10 suggested donation, which includes free drinks. All readings begin at 8 PM at the Actors Playground, 412 8th Avenue, 2nd Floor. For further information and reservations, call (212) 967-0303, or visit www.actorsplayground.com.
