News Last Sunday in June Scribe Tolins Directs Reading of A Narrow Place, June 30 Jonathan Tolins, playwright of Off-Broadway's The Last Sunday in June, will direct a reading of a new play at the Rattlestick Theatre — where his show began. A Narrow Place by Andrew Ordover will be read June 30.

Set in an old Park Slope, Brooklyn, brownstone in 1980, A Narrow Place follows the story of a recently widowed woman and her children as they struggle to find their way. The reading stars Ilana Levine (You’re a Good, Man Charlie Brown, Wrong Mountain), Peter Smith (The Invention of Love, The Last Sunday in June), Matthew Arkin (The Sunshine Boys, Dinner with Friends) and Lauren Klein (Lost in Yonkers, Broken Glass). David Paul will read stage directions.

Tolins has penned the plays Twilight of the Golds and If Memory Serves. He also served as a writer for the 2003 Tony Awards and the Showtime series "Queer as Folk."
