SEATTLE-- Laughter On The 23rd Floor Neil Simon's affectionate, autobiographical play is the latest offering at The Edge of The World Theatre in Edmonds, opening Thurs. May 28. The early 50's, when Simon, Mel Brooks, Carl Reiner, Larry Gelbart, and others were on the writing staff of Sid Caesar's classic variety shows Your Show of Shows and Caesar's Hour, serve as the setting for the play, which is something of a throwback to earlier Simon comedies rather than his darker comedy/dramas of recent years.
Laughter On The 23rd Floor runs through June 27, with performances Thurs.- Sun. at 8 PM. The Edge of The World Theatre is located in Edmonds, 10 minutes N of Seattlle on I-5, at 9673 Firdale Ave. For tickets ($14.50-$17.50) call (206) 542-7529.
