On the country music drama, Benanti plays up-and-coming country star Sadie Stone and, in her multi-episode arc, befriends Rayna (Connie Britton).

According to the NY Post, Benanti will sing a song entitled “Gasoline and Matches," written by the show's executive music producer Buddy Miller and his wife. Although the Tony winner signed on for a seven-episode arc, she is currently filming her eighth episode and doesn't know how long the writers will keep her.

In addition to her numerous Broadway roles, Benanti has been seen on screen in "The Sound Of Music Live!," "Go On," "The Playboy Club," "Starved," "Nurse Jackie," "Royal Pains," "The Big C" and "Law & Order: SVU."

"Nashville" airs on ABC at 10 PM ET.
