The recording, which is entitled "In Constant Search of the Right Kind of Attention: Live At 54 Below," will be released digitally Sept. 6 and on CD Sept. 10. The CD is now available for pre-order by clicking here.
Benanti will play 54 Below May 20 at 7 PM, May 22 at 7 PM, May 23 at 7 PM and 9:30 PM, May 24 at 8:30 PM and May 25 at 8:30 PM and 11 PM.
“Having Laura Benanti record her debut album as part of our 54 Below CD series is exciting for us as her contribution to the New York theatre scene is undeniable," said Kenny Howard, co-founder of Broadway Records, in a statement. "It also continues to further our mission to preserve amazing Broadway talent in the incredible intimate setting of 54 Below."
Benanti’s recording will be produced by Aaron Ankrum and executive-produced by Van Dean and Kenny Howard, of The Broadway Consortium, and Ken Mahoney.
