The Ferryman star leads the cast of the sci-fi drama, about a group of Victorian women with supernatural powers.

Olivia Williams (The Father), James Norton (Happy Valley), Tom Riley (Da Vinci's Demons), Ann Skelly (Vikings), and Ben Chaplin (Mad Dogs) have joined the cast of the new HBO sci-fi drama The Nevers, according to The Hollywood Reporter. They join The Ferryman Tony nominee Laura Donnelly, who is set to the lead the ensemble of the new series, about a group of Victorian women with extraordinary powers and a cause that might change the world.

The Nevers is created by Joss Whedon (Agents of SHILED), who will be the showrunner.

As well as having appeared on Broadway twice, Donnelly has been seen on television in The Fall, Outlander, and Beowulf: Return to the Shieldlands.
