News Lauren Marcus Replaces Anneliese van der Pol as Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors 3 Days Before First Preview Lauren Marcus, who was recently seen in Two River Theater's Be More Chill will replace Anneliese van der Pol as Audrey in the Sharon Playhouse production of Little Shop of Horrors. The announcement comes three days before the start of previews, Aug. 13. Van der Pol withdrew from the run due to a family emergency.

The Howard Ashman and Alan Menken musical is scheduled to play the Sharon, CT, venue Aug. 13-30.

Marcus is joined by Ryan Vona as Seymour, Ira Denmark as Mr. Mushnik, Tatiana Lofton as Crystal, Carla Stewart as Ronnette, Ashley McManus as Chiffon, Daniel Patrick Smith as Orin and Brandon Nase as the Voice of Audrey II.

Jennifer Werner directs and choreographs with music direction by Eric Kang.

"This affectionate spoof of 1950s sci-fi movies centers on a down-and out skid row floral shop employee who becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving," according to press notes.

The creative team includes Josh Smith (scenic design), Michelle Eden Humphrey (costume design), Craig Stelzenmuller (lighting design), and Brad Berridge (sound design). Kat Rother is production stage manager. Geoff Josselson is casting director.
