News Lauren Worsham Headlines NAMT's Songwriter Spotlight at 54 Below Aug. 25 The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) will present its Songwriter Spotlight concert at 54 Below – featuring work by Joe Iconis and performances by Lauren Worsham and more – on Aug. 25 at 7 PM.

Produced and directed by Branden Huldeen, the concert will highlight the work of composers Iconis and Kyle Jarrow and will also debut new work by both. Songs from the 2010 NAMT Fest production of Lizzie – the dark tale of Lizzie Borden – will also be featured. 

The lineup of performers includes Nick Blaemire (Godspell), Hanna Cheek,  Drama Desk nominee Carrie Cimma (Lizzie Borden), Katrina Rose Didericksen (Hairspray), Lortel nominee Rebecca Naomi Jones (Murder Ballad), Eric William Morris (Mamma Mia!), Drama Desk nominee Jeremy Morse, Mary Kate Morrissey, Ryah Nixon (Fat Camp), Ciara Renée (Pippin), Paul Thureen, Jason SweetTooth Williams and Tony nominee Worsham (A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder).

Proceeds from the evening will go to support NAMT, whose work includes the 26th Annual Festival of New Musicals, which will take place on Oct. 23-24 at New World Stages.

The evening will take place at nightlife venue 54 Below (254 W. 54th Street); there is a $35 cover and $25 food/drink minimum.
