Directed by David Saint, the star-studded company features Tom Aldredge as Matt Singer, James Sutorius as Howard Thompson, Helen Gallagher as Eloyse Thompson, Jessica Dickey as Maryanne Jenkins, Matt Cavenaugh as Scooter Jenkins, Joanne Camp as Willi Thurman, Jim Bracchitta as Leo Kondracki and Dee Hoty as Nerissa Gray. The limited engagement of 2 Lives will play through Nov. 13. 2 Lives, according to production notes, is set "in an almost magical private park on Long Island, [where] Matt Singer, a playwright in his 70s, happily works away at his latest script, reading his newest pages to longtime partner Howard Thompson — until their weekend plans are suddenly ended by an unexpected, shocking event."

The creative team for the play comprises James Youmans (scenic design), Theoni V. Aldredge (costume design) and David Lander (lighting design).

Arthur Laurents, the librettist for West Side Story; Hallelujah, Baby!; Anyone Can Whistle; and Gypsy, began writing for the theatre more than 50 years ago with the play Home of the Brave. Among his other works are The Time of the Cuckoo, Jolson Sings Again and 2 Lives. Laurents received a Best Director Tony Award for the original production of La Cage aux Folles. His candid autobiography, published a few years back, is titled "Original Story By."
