News Lavin and Stritch Offer Moments Like This April 6 at Birdland Tony Award winner Linda Lavin joins forces with actor-musician Billy Stritch for an April 6 concert at Birdland.

Entitled Moments Like This, the duo will play the famed jazz club at 7 PM.

In Moments Like This, press notes state, audiences will have a chance to "meet Broadway and television star Linda Lavin up-close and personal as she recalls her roots in the theatre, her love of torch songs, and a life-long obsession with the big bands of the 1940's. Linda's varied musical choices range from Cole Porter to Trisha Yearwood, and the musical relationship with pianist/singer Billy Stritch only adds to the party atmosphere this hostess-with-the-mostess exudes."

Linda Lavin received a Tony Award for her performance in Broadway Bound and was also nominated for her work in The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, The Diary of Anne Frank and Last of the Red Hot Lovers. She has also appeared on Broadway in Hollywood Arms, The Sisters Rosensweig, Gypsy, The Enemy Is Dead, Paul Sills' Story Theater, Cop-Out, Something Different, It's a Bird . . . It's a Plane . . . It's Superman, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, The Riot Act and A Family Affair. Lavin is also known to TV audiences for her award-winning work on the comedy series "Alice" as well as her performances as Nana on "The O.C."

Lavin will return to Broadway next season in MTC's production of Collected Stories.
