News Lavine to Sing Colby at Duplex in August Singer-actress Audrey Lavine will star in A Michael Colby Songbook next month at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre.

Accompanied by Ross Patterson on piano, Lavine will interpret Colby's lyrics Aug. 6 and 20 at the downtown cabaret. Sara Louise Lazarus is the director of the show, which features music by Ed Alstrom, Brian Barrale, Artie Bressler, Ned Paul Ginsburg, Paul Katz, Gerald Jay Markoe, Peter Millrose, Angie L. Monroe, Steven Silverstein, Joseph Thalken and Jack Urbont. Lyricist Colby will also be part of the 9:30 PM evenings. Audrey Lavine's Broadway credits include The Moony Shapiro Songbook, Rags, Carrie and Anna Karenina.
