Classic Arts News Lea DeLaria's Double Standards Debuts on Billboard Jazz Chart Lea DeLaria's Double Standards, a collection of rock and pop songs sung in a jazz idiom, made its first appearance on the Billboard jazz chart this week at number nine.
DeLaria, a Broadway actress, comedian, and singer, assembled a group of top musicians for her second jazz album, including saxophonist Seamus Blake, vibraphonist Stefon Harris, bassist Christian McBride (playing bass guitar), and drummer Bill Stewart.

Singer/guitarist John Pizzarelli's Knowing You, the Yellowjackets' Altered State, and pianist Marian McPartland's 85 Candles also made their debuts on the jazz chart, at numbers 17, 18, and 25 respectively.

Michael Bubl_'s It's Time remained at number one for the seventh straight week. The CD, having shipped 100,000 copies, has now been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.

On the contemporary jazz chart, Kenny G's At Last... The Duets Album was at number one for the 17th week. Guitarist Chieli Minucci's Got It Goin' On made its first appearance at number 18.
