Only 17 at the time, Philippines native Salonga received critical acclaim and went on to win the Olivier Award as Best Actress in a Musical. In 1991 she reprised her performance on Broadway, again earning rave reviews and winning the Tony Award as Best Actress in a Musical, along with Best Actress honors from the Drama Desk and the Outer Critics' Circle. Salonga returned to Broadway in 2002, starring in the revival of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Flower Drum Song. She also made her solo debut at Carnegie Hall to a sold-out crowd and was most recently on Broadway as Fantine in the revival of Les Misérables.

Anika Larsen, who was most recently seen in the national tour of Avenue Q, played Euterpe in Broadway's Xanadu and has also been seen on Broadway in All Shook Up and Rent and Off-Broadway in Zanna, Don't!; Miracle Brothers; and How to Save the World and Find True Love in 90 Minutes.
