News Lea Salonga, Lou Diamond Phillips and More to Headline After the Storm Typhoon Benefit Tony Award winner Lea Salonga and Lou Diamond Phillips are among the artists assembled for After the Storm, a benefit concert for victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, which will be held June 15 at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.

Emmy-nominated producer Robert Pullen will direct the 8 PM concert that is held in cooperation with the US-Philippines Society and the Philippine Humanitarian Coalition.

In addition to Salonga (Miss Saigon, Allegiance) and Phillips ("La Bamba," The King and I), the concert will feature tenor Rodell Rosel, Joffrey Ballet dancer Christine Rocas and the Black Eyed Peas' Apl.de.ap.

The concert will also include the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra conducted by Luke Frazier and the Broadway Community Chorus. Video messages of hope from celebrities and other personalities from around the world are also planned.

"The Kennedy Center benefit evening will help those people reconstruct homes and schools, restart businesses, restore livelihoods, and regain access to health facilities," said John F. Maisto, president of the US-Philippines Society, in a statement.
