Ron Delsener and Marvin Worth Productions present the work previously seen in Los Angeles. The New York run opens Feb. 1 for a four-week engagement through Feb. 25. Lenny Bruce...In His Own Words, as the title expresses, is crafted "verbatim from the controversial satirist's most unforgettable routines," by Joan Worth and Alan Sacks — who share writing and directing credits.

The late producer Worth was familiar with the comedian's work having presented the Broadway run of Lenny in 1971 and the subsequent 1974 Bob Fosse film.

Lenny Bruce... recreates such bits as "Religions, Inc.," "Christ and Moses," "Hitler and MCA," "How the Law Got Started (Eat, Sleep & Crap)" and other material from Bruce's repertoire from the 1950's and 60's.

The work played an extended Los Angeles stint (Saturdays) at the Un-Cabaret's M Bar. The show will perform a seven-show weekly schedule Off-Broadway.

Tickets to Lenny Bruce...In His Own Words at the Zipper Theatre, 336 W. 37 St., are on sale through (212) 239-6200 or at the box office.
