News "Les Misérables," "Lincoln," "Smash," Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway and More Receive 2013 Golden Globe Nominations The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the nominees for the 2013 Golden Globe Awards Dec. 13 in Beverly Hills, CA. The 70th annual awards ceremony will be hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on Jan. 13, 2013.

Topping the list with seven nominations is Dreamworks' "Lincoln," the Abraham Lincoln biopic from Oscar winner Steven Spielberg and Pulitzer Prize winner Tony Kushner, who received respective nominations for Best Director and Best Screenplay. Also nominated for the film were Daniel Day-Lewis (Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama), Tommy Lee Jones (Best Supporting Actor), Sally Field (Best Supporting Actress) and John Williams (Best Original Score). "Lincoln" was also nominated for Best Motion Picture – Drama.

"Les Misérables," the starry film adaptation of the award-winning musical of the same name, earned four nominations, including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. Hugh Jackman (Best Actor – Musical or Comedy) and Anne Hathaway (Best Supporting Actress) were nominated for their performances as Valjean and Fantine, respectively, and Tony-winning songwriters Claude-Michel Schonberg and Alain Boublil were nominated for the new song written for the film, "Suddenly."

Other stage stars who received 2013 nods for their film work include Denzel WashingtonEwan McGregorJessica ChastainHelen MirrenMeryl StreepPhilip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams, Helen Hunt and Nicole Kidman, among others. 

Among television nominations were the NBC musical drama "Smash," "Modern Family" and "The Big Bang Theory" for Best TV Series - Comedy, and "Boardwalk Empire," "Downton Abbey" and "The Newsroom" for Best TV Series - Drama.
