News Les Misérables, The King and I and Spamalot Among Music Theatre of Wichita's 2013 Lineup The Music Theatre of Wichita has announced the lineup for its 2013 season, which will include the Tony Award-winning musicals Les Misérables, The King and I and Spamalot.

Monty Python's Spamalot, the award-winning musical comedy that recounts the legend of King Arthur, will kick off the season June 12-16, 2013. Les Misérables, featuring music by Claude-Michel Schonberg, lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer and a book by Schonberg and Alain Boublil, will follow Spamalot, running June 26-30. The season also includes Rodgers and Hammerstein's The King and I (July 10-14), Betty Blue Eyes (July 24-28) and Disney's Mary Poppins (Aug. 9-11).

Music Theatre of Wichita, a not-for-profit arts organization in the state of Kansas, produces five Broadway-scale musical productions each summer. While producing its musicals, Music Theatre simultaneously conducts a specialized training program, geared to helping young Midwesterners prepare for professional careers.
