Paterson, who also played Helen Burns and understudied the title role in Jane Eyre, the musical, on Broadway, will be joined by Sara Inbar, Kelly Ebsary, Natalie Brown, Christopher Chew, Delina Christie, Kent French, Megan Gleeson, Corey Jackson, Michael Kreutz, Ceit McCaleb, Ellen Peterson, Dale Place and Andrea Ross. This is the Massachusetts premiere of the musical by Christopher McGovern and Amy Powers. Lizzie Borden received its world premiere in 1998 at American Stage Company in New Jersey and has since been produced by Goodspeed Musicals in Connecticut (about two-thirds of the book was rewritten there).

"It seems about time that this show is produced for a Massachusetts audience," Troy Siebels, Stoneham Theatre's producing director, said in a statement. The murder of Borden's parents took place in Fall River, Massachusetts. The trial that followed was in New Bedford.

"It's been a long journey from that first reading in 1997," McGovern previously told Playbill On-Line. "I have great hopes for its future."

Book  and music are by McGovern and lyrics are by both McGovern and Powers. Bill Castellino, who has been involved with the Lizzie project since its inception, directs. Music director is Timothy Evans.

Designers are Craig Siebels (scenic), Rachel Padula Shufelt (costume), Paul Miller (lighting).

Tickets are $32 for adults, $27 for seniors (62 and older) and $16 for students (under 18 or with a valid college ID).  For tickets or information, call (781) 279-2200 or visit www.stonehamtheatre.org.
