News Les Miz's Strober to Host July 23 New Voices Concert The Monday Night, New Voices series at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre will continue July 23.

The 7 PM concert will spotlight the work of songwriters Ilene Reid and Michael Heitzman. Their songs will be performed by five "New Voices": Doug Thompson, Kate Tomlinson, Skie Ocasio, Morgan Paige Fluss and Emily Shoolin. Rena Strober, who was seen in the original Broadway production of Les Misérables, will host.

Barbara Anselmi will be the musical director for the latest edition of New Voices, which was launched by composer-producer Scott Alan to "showcase some of today's brightest new talent in New York."

Rena Strober was seen in Les Misérables on Broadway and My Life with Albertine and Theda Bara and the Frontier Rabbi Off-Broadway. She appeared in the role of Tonyain in the La Jolla Playhouse production of Zhivago, and her other theatrical credits include Babes in Arms, Bat Boy and Barnum.

Ilene Reid and Michael Heitzman collaborated on the musicals Vices and Bingo.
