News Leslie Caron to Appear at Film Forum Dec. 13 Acclaimed stage and screen star Leslie Caron will discuss her career at Film Forum Dec. 13 at 8:15 PM.

Caron will speak with author and film historian Foster Hirsch about her work in such classic films as "An American In Paris" and "Gigi," her beginnings as a ballerina with Roland Petit's Ballet des Champs-Élysées, and her stage career, which includes turns in Grand Hotel in Berlin, Can-Can in London, and most recently, A Little Night Music in Paris, in which she played Madame Armfeldt.

A native of France, Caron received an Emmy Award for a 2007 guest appearance on "Law & Order: SVU" and an Academy Award nomination for her work in "The L-Shaped Room." Her memoir, "Thank Heaven," is currently available from Plume in paperback.
