Hamilton Tony Award winner Leslie Odom Jr. and current Waitress star Katharine McPhee will announce the nominations for the 72nd annual Tony Awards May 1. The unveiling of the nominations will be broadcast live from the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center at 8:30 AM on CBS and TonyAwards.com.

The 2018 Tony Awards ceremony will take place June 10 at Radio City Music Hall; a host will be announced in the coming weeks.

Odom Jr., who won a Tony in 2016 for his performance as Aaron Burr in Hamilton, recently released his debut book Failing Up: How to Take Risks, Aim Higher, and Never Stop Learning. McPhee made her Broadway debut April 10 as Jenna in Waitress; she is scheduled to play a limited engagement in the musical through June 17.

Both are alums of the NBC cult favorite musical drama Smash (their respective characters, Sam Strickland and Karen Cartwright, appearing in the fictional musical Hit List).
