Regional News Leslie Uggams, James Snyder, and Jessica Grové Set for Pittsburgh CLO Season Initial casting has been announced for the summer productions of Beauty and the Beast, Thoroughly Modern Millie, The Full Monty, Titanic, and Brigadoon.

Pittsburgh CLO has announced initial casting for its summer lineup of musicals, which will launch June 22–July 1 with Titanic. Bradley Dean (Dear Evan Hansen) will play architect Thomas Andrews, with Christopher Gurr (Tuck Everlasting) as Captain Edward J. Smith and Chris Peluso (Assassins) as Frederick Barrett.

Andy Kelso (Kinky Boots) will star as Jerry in CLO’s July 6–15 production of The Full Monty, which will also feature John Hickock (Aida) as Harold and Tony nominee Anita Gillette (30 Rock) as Jeanette.

The Broadway classic Brigadoon will follow July 17–22 starring Jeff Kready (A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder) as Tommy Albright, Jason Babinsky (Doctor Doolittle) as Jeff Douglas, and Lenny Wolpe (Wicked) as Mr. Lundie.

Jessica Grové (A Little Night Music) and James Snyder (If/Then) will co-star as Belle and the Beast in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, running July 27–August 5. Jennifer Hope Willis (The Phantom of the Opera) will play Mrs. Potts.

The season will close with Thoroughly Modern Millie, starring Laurie Veldheer (Newsies) in the title role, with Tony Award winner Leslie Uggams (Hallelujah, Baby!) repeating her performance as Muzzie—a role she played in the musical’s original Broadway run. The role of Jimmy Smith will be played by Bobby Conte Thornton (A Bronx Tale).
