Classic Arts News Levine and Boston Symphony to Give World Premiere of Wuorinen's Symphony Theologoumena Boston Symphony music director James Levine will lead the orchestra in the world premiere of Charles Wuorinen's Eighth Symphony, titled Theologoumena, on Thursday, February 15.
The program, which also includes Haydn's Symphony No. 22 and Brahms's Symphony No. 4, will be repeated on February 16 and 17. There will also be an open rehearsal at 10:30 a.m. on February 15, at Symphony Hall.

Pulitzer Prize-winning American composer Wuorinen's Eighth Symphony is the first of four BSO world premieres this season and the first of three celebrating the orchestra's 125th anniversary.
