The 8 PM performance, which benefits New York Stage and Film's 25th anniversary season, boasts the talents of Black and Linn-Baker. "Two struggling performers trapped in the post-60's Reagan era try to come to terms with the religious right, and the right to laugh" in The Laundry Hour, according to press notes.
The Laundry Hour was originally presented by Joseph Papp at The Public Theater and was recently published in Lewis' 2008 best-selling book "Me of Little Faith." The play also features music and lyrics by Paul Schierhorn.
An informal reception with the artists will follow the performance.
