The engagement, which was scheduled to play a six-performance run through Oct. 14, will now offer two additional shows on Oct. 19 and 20. The Broadway run is a stop on Black's current U.S. tour of Running On Empty. Black's one-man show will follow the Tony-winning revival of The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess into the Rodgers. That production ends its run Sept. 22.

As previously reported, Black will also be a part of Playbill's Broadway on the High Seas 2, a ten-day cruise through Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil that launches Dec. 6. (Visit www.PlaybillCruise.com for further information.)

Black, a stand-up comedian, actor and author, is one of the most prolific and popular performers working today. A graduate from the Yale School of Drama, an accomplished playwright, a familiar presence on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” and a Grammy Award-winning artist, Black performs over 200 nights a year to sell-out audiences around the world. He is one of few performers to sell out multiple, renowned theatres including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Broadway’s Brooks Atkinson Theatre, New York City Center and the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. His HBO specials include "Black On Broadway" and the Emmy-nominated "Red, White and Screwed."
