News Liaisons: Re-Imagining Sondheim from the Piano Will Play Symphony Space in April Thirty-six composers from the worlds of jazz, classical, musical theatre, pop and film will be represented in Liaisons: Re-Imagining Sondheim from the Piano, which will be presented at Symphony Space's Peter Jay Sharp Theatre April 21.

Conceived and performed by Anthony de Mare, the concert is scheduled for 7:30 PM.

Among the composers who have reimagined their favorite Sondheim songs as solo piano works in their own styles are Steve Reich, Daniel Bernard Roumain, Ethan Iverson and Fred Hersch.

For this New York premiere, Sondheim will also take the stage; he will be interviewed by Mark Eden Horowitz, author of the acclaimed "Sondheim on Music."
