Film star Liam Neeson is still in talks with Broadway's Roundabout Theatre to star in a revival of Edmond Rostand's Cyrano de Bergerac in the 1997-98 season. Neeson, star of the film Michael Collins Schindler's List, told interviewer Larry King November, 1996 that he will be doing the production, which had not been previously announced.

At the time, Roundabout spokesperson Erin Dunn said she contacted Roundabout Artistic Director Todd Haimes, whom she quoted as saying "Roundabout would love to do it, and we have been talking to him [Neeson] about it, but nothing is set yet. It's great news that he's interested." Asked about the production's progress (May 12), Dunn told Playbill On-Line that Cyrano is "still in talks," but did say at least some of the Roundabout season schedule will be announced at the end of May.

Neeson appeared previously at Roundabout in Anna Christie.
