Condon, who plays Mairead, the feral, revolutionary, local love interest of the title character in the Atlantic Theater Company run of the play, will leave the acclaimed production April 2 to return to work on the HBO series "Rome."

Stage, film and television actress Alison Pill will replace her April 4 and continue with the company to its Broadway bow at the Lyceum Theatre April 19. Opening is May 3.

The sold-out Atlantic production, which opened Feb. 27 and will run through April 9, marked the American premiere of McDonagh’s Olivier Award-winning play — a wickedly funny satire of terrorism and violent personalities. The rest of the Off-Broadway cast (a mix of U.S. and U.K. actors) will transfer to Broadway.

"Set on a lonely island, this most surprising new work chronicles the shockingly funny events that come to pass when someone kills Wee Thomas, the beloved cat of an Irish Liberation Army enforcer," according to the producers. "It all builds to a stunning surprise that has audiences laughing in disbelief at every performance."

The producers are asking audiences to keep the play's ending a secret. Why ruin a bloody good time for future audiences? Alison Pill won a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Ensemble in the U.S. premiere of Neil LaBute's The Distance From Here with the Manhattan Class Company and was nominated for a Lucille Lortel Award for her role in Christopher Shinn's On the Mountain with Playwrights Horizons, directed by Jo Bonney. In addition, she starred in an Off-Broadway run of None of the Above, at the Ohio Theatre. Recent film work includes Thomas Vinterberg's "Dear Wendy," opposite Jamie Bell, the Disney feature "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen," and the Sundance Festival favorite "Pieces of April."

In addition to Alison Pill, the Atlantic Theater Company production features Jeff Binder as James, Andrew Connolly as Christy, Dashiell Eaves as Joey, Peter Gerety as Donny, Domhnall Gleeson as Davey, Brian d'Arcy James as Brendan, and David Wilmot as Padraic. Domhnall Gleeson and David Wilmot are appearing with the permission of Actors' Equity Association pursuant to an exchange program between American Equity and U.K. Equity.

Wilson Milam directs the production.
