E.B. White's stories and poetry include Charlotte's Web, Stuart Little and Trumpet of the Swan. He was also on staff at The New Yorker magazine.
The event will be hosted by Jarrett J. Krosoczka and proceeds will benefit First Book - Manhattan, an organization that distributes new books to disadvantaged children and the programs that serve them.
According to press notes, "the evening will also include special guest appearances from White's granddaughter Martha White and his stepson Roger Angell. Barbershop quartet Scollay Square will perform songs from the film version of 'Charlotte’s Web.'"
