The feature is part of the TV program's six-part "Broadway Balances America" series. The episode will re-air Nov. 13 at 7 AM ET.

"Balancing Act" correspondent Amber Milt traveled to New York and takes viewers behind the scenes of Newsies with the show’s Tony-winning choreographer Christopher Gattelli and some of the cast members. She learns the show’s “newspaper dance” from the Act I closer “Seize the Day.”

Milt also casts a spotlight on “Get Up and Go,” the Disney wellness and fitness national initiative, which promotes fun ways for kids to lead healthier lifestyles inspired through the show’s Tony-winning choreography and music.

Liana Hunt, who played Katherine in the Broadway production, is also interviewed.

Newsies features a Tony Award-winning score with music by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken and lyrics by Jack Feldman and a book by four-time Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein. It is produced by Disney Theatrical Productions and directed by Tony nominee Jeff Calhoun.

Newsies ended its award-winning Broadway run in August; the musical is now playing a national tour.
