Larry Dean Harris' Like An Old Song has been extended at the Hudson Avenue Theatre. Originally set to close Dec. 17, the play will now run through Jan. 14. Performances are Saturday at 8 PM and Sunday at 3 PM except holidays. Harris wrote the critically-acclaimed Bible Stories, which was produced last summer at the Celebration Theatre.

The cast includes Tony and Obie-winner Sammy Williams (A Chorus Line) and Obie-winner Ed O'Ross ("Split Decision, Full Metal Jacket"). The play, produced by L.A.-based Playwrights 6 in association with Hudson Avenue, is directed by David Nathan Schwartz and also stars Gary Bullock, Craig Alan Curtis, Martin Duante, Dan Gilvary, Paul Murray and Brian Poth.

Backstage West called Song "a hugely entertaining and deeply moving work," adding that "it seems unlikely that any gay-theatre offering will surpass the dramatic riches evident in Harris' alternately hilarious and heartrending play."
