News Lilies Reading Will Feature Domingo and Keenan-Bolger Oct. 20 Passing Strange's Colman Domingo will star in a reading of Canadian playwright Michel Marc Bouchard's play Lilies, or The Revival of a Romantic Drama on Oct. 20.

The Deconstructive Theatre Project presents the 8 PM event that will take place in the site-specific setting of the Sanctuary of Middle Church in the East Village.

Joining Domingo are Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Spelling Bee), Matthew Nasser, Vince Romoldi ("Camp"), Kevin Curtis, Eric Heusinger, Matt Mager and Matthew Skrincosky. Additional casting for the reading will be announced shortly.

Press notes for Lilies state, "The Bishop Bilodeau arrives one morning at a Canadian prison to hear the last confession of a childhood friend, instead finding himself compelled to confront a past revived as the prison inmates perform a haunting and tragic story of passion and obsession among three boys at a small Christian school in 1912. Lust and love collide when two men confront their own conflicting memories in a final effort to reclaim lost lives and achieve redemption and revenge."

Bouchard's Lilies was adapted into the award-winning 1996 film of the same title.

Sonny Paladino has penned original music for the reading, which is co-directed and produced by Adam J. Thompson and Ryan J. Davis. Tickets, priced $30, are available by phoning (800) 838-3006 or by visiting DeconstructiveTheatreProject.

Middle Church is located at 50 East 7th Street, between 1st and 2nd Avenues, in Manhattan.
