The gala, produced by Steve Tietsort, will also feature excerpts from every show in the festival, a catered reception and free valet parking. After that, the festival will feature events all through the month of April on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Tomlin appears only on opening night.
Among the shows scheduled for the festival are Syd Rushing's Brothers Tellin' (Fridays at 8 PM, April 7-28); John Pennington's dance piece Cuirass (Saturdays at 2 PM, April 8-29); BlueLikeBillieHolidayOnAStormyMondayBaby [sic] (Saturdays at 8 PM), by Camille Saviola; and Besame Mucho...O.K. That's Enough by Diana-Maria Riva.
