The benefit performance, directed by Tony nominee Thomas Kail (In the Heights, Lombardi), is set to begin at 8 PM with a dance party to follow at 9:30 PM.
Miranda and Jackson team up with other members of the In the Heights cast and creative team in Freestyle Love Supreme to "take the crowd on a non-stop, hip hop improv ride, spinning cues from the audience into instantaneous riffs and fully realized musical numbers."
Other members of the crew include Anthony Veneziale ("Trauma," PBS' "The Electric Company"), Chris "Shockwave" Sullivan (PBS' "The Electric Company"), Bill Sherman (2008 Tony and Grammy Award for In the Heights, music director for PBS' "Sesame Street" and "The Electric Company") and singer-songwriter Arthur Lewis.
Freestyle Love Supreme is also set to play Irving Plaza in Manhattan June 16 at 8 PM and Philadelphia's Theatre of the Living Arts June 17 at 8 PM.
Ars Nova is located at 511 West 54th Street. For more information and tickets, click here.
