News   Lin-Manuel Miranda Named One of People Magazine's "Heartthrobs and Heroes" of 2015 Lin-Manuel Miranda, creator and star of the critically acclaimed Broadway musical Hamilton, has added another honor to his growing list: He has been named one of the "Men of the Year: The Heartthrobs and Heroes Who Defined 2015" by People magazine.

In the issue dated Nov. 30, which hits the stands Nov. 19, Miranda was listed as follows: "The man behind Broadway's Hamilton—and a MacArthur 'genius grant' recipient—has ordinary date nights with his wife. 'It's Netflix and chill,' he says."

Miranda, a Tony winner for the score of In the Heights, was named alongside other recent stage veterans, Jake Gyllenhaal (Constellations, Little Shop of Horrors) and Sam Heughan (Outlying Islands in London), plus TV actor Matt Bomer and film/TV actor Will Smith.
