In a series of tweets timed to the completion of the original cast album released Sept. 25, Miranda, who earlier this week was named winner of a MacArthur Foundation "genius" Fellowship, revealed that he "was originally trying to get the mixtape done with Atlantic before we opened, but that's like performing surgery while having a baby."
He wrote that the recording will come out "early next year. Need time to get my brains back."
No details on who will be featured on the covers.
