News Lincoln Center Names Ron Austin Exec Director of Development Project Lincoln Center has named Ron Austin the new executive director of the Lincoln Center Development Project, the overhaul of the campus that's currently underway.

Austin, a construction management specialist who specializes in performance venues, will take the post May 8. He replaces Jerry Hastings, who resigned last month after less than a year in the job. Austin oversaw the completion of the Carnival Center for the Performing Arts in Miami, which opened in September 2006. He has also provided leadership for the construction of the Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta, the Aronoff Center for the Arts in Cincinnati and the Schuster Center for the Arts in Dayton.

The Lincoln Center campus includes Lincoln Center Theater's two venues, the Metropolitan Opera, New York State Theater, Avery Fisher Hall and Alice Tully Hall.

Construction is expected to be substantially completed in time for Lincoln Center's 50th anniversary celebration in 2009-1010.
