Linda Eder latest recording, the holiday-themed "Christmas Stays the Same," has a distinctly Broadway flavor to it — not because of the musical selections, but due to some of the composers involved. Intermingled among standards such as "A Christmas Song" and "Silent Night" are three new song's by Eder's husband, theatre composer Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde, The Civil War). Wildhorn penned the album's title tune, as well as "Christmas Through a Child's Eyes" and "The Bells of St. Paul." The latter boasts lyrics by Titanic tunesmith Maury Yeston. Jack Murphy wrote the words to "Christmas Stays the Same," while Eder herself scripted the lyrics for "Christmas Through a Child's Eyes."

Eder made her debut on Broadway in Wildhorn's Jekyll & Hyde. The new CD is on the Atlantic label and currently available in stores.
