Presented as part of Broadway at Birdland, Lavin will recount her early career in the theatre with stories and songs including material from Gershwin, Maltby and Shire, Dave Frishberg, Trisha Yearwood and more. Joining Lavin will be famed piano-man Billy Stritch, with John Brown on bass and Steve Bakunas on drums.

Lavin, who made her Broadway debut in John Kander and William Goldman's A Family Affair, under the direction of Hal Prince, would go on to introduce the Broadway staples "You've Got Possibilities" from It's a Bird...It's a Plane...It's Superman and "The Boy From…" from The Mad Show. She won a Tony for her work in Neil Simon's Broadway Bound and replaced Tyne Daly in the 1989 revival of Gypsy. Lavin is also known for her role on the television series "Alice" for which she won two Golden Globes.
