While Susan Egan concertizes on the West Coast through Feb. 20, Linda Romoff is playing Broadway's Sally Bowles in the hit revival of Cabaret.

Romoff stepped into the role Feb. 1, at Studio 54. Egan is taking three weeks off to play previously arranged concert gigs and will return Feb. 22.

Romoff has covered for every actress who has played Sally in the Roundabout Theatre Company production of the John Kander-Fred Ebb musical based on John Van Druten's I Am a Camera and the stories of Christopher Isherwood.

Romoff appeared on Broadway in Victor/Victoria, in Lincoln Center Theater's Carousel and Damn Yankees with Jerry Lewis. She was Gloria Thorpe in the national tour of Damn Yankees.

Her father was the late character actor, Woody Romoff, who played 850 performances of Herr Schultz in Cabaret and appeared in the original She Loves Me on Broadway. He died in 1998.

Her performance is dedicated to him, according to her bio.
