Directed by Obie winner Evan Yionoulis, the 3 PM reading will boast the talents of Lindsay Mendez (Godspell), Hunter Ryan Herdlicka (A Little Night Music), Colin Hanlon (Rent), Sean Dugan (Next Fall), Sally Wilfert (Make Me A Song) and Michael Winther (33 Variations).

The reading will also feature music direction by Paul Staroba and stage management by Donald Butchko.

The new musical has a book and lyrics by Charlie Sohne and music by Tim Rosser.

The Profit of Creation, according to press notes, tells the story of "a physicist, Max who, after being rejected by the scientific community and betrayed by the love of his life, accepts an offer from a right-wing organization to move to Kentucky and head up a newly planned Creation Museum. Max's cynical decision takes a surprising turn when he falls in love, makes promises he can’t keep, and becomes deeply connected to people who, at first glance, seem completely unlike himself."

The Profit of Creation was last seen at the 2011 Yale Institute for Music Theater and underwent development at ASCAP’s 2010 Johnny Mercer Songwriters Workshop.
