According to press notes, "He's the composer-lyricist fashioning epic dramas, Gothic thrillers, and high-octane rock and roll into exhilarating new musicals. Join him and a Broadway cast of powerhouses as they sing twisted, tragic and altogether traumatic tunes from Ryan Scott Oliver's musicals Jasper in Deadland, We Foxes, 35mm, Darling and more."
Oliver is the winner of a Larson Grant, Rodgers Award, Lortel Award nomination, ASCAP Harold Adamson Award and New Musicals Awards from Weston Playhouse and Pace University. He wrote the music and lyrics for 35mm: A Musical Exhibition (licensed by Samuel French, original cast recording on Ghostlight Records), Darling (workshopped at ACT, featured on NBC's "The Apprentice"), Mrs. Sharp (read at Playwrights Horizons July 2009), Out of My Head (licensed through Steele Spring Stage Rights) as well as the commission We Foxes (Broadway Across America), among others. He is currently at work on the new musical Rope, a commission for Grove Entertainment.
