After numerous extensions, Miss Coco Peru will visit "her" Liquid Universe one last time on September 28. The show opened May 3, and was originally only supposed to run through June 28 at NY's Westbeth Theatre Center.

The latest comedy by the cross-dressed downtown favorite Quinton Leupp shows Miss Coco going from the Bronx to Peru to Greece to Italy -- "all in a glamorous wig and dress." Along the way, she encounters romance, rejection and adoration, discovering that people are the same all the world over. Or, as she puts, it, as Miss Coco puts it, "we're all unique, and our uniqueness is the one thing we all have in common."

Miss Coco Peru's Liquid Universe was staged by Charles Randolph-Wright, director and co-author of The Diva Is Dismissed.

Leupp's previous Coco shows include It's My Goddamned Cabaret (1991) and Legend In Progress, which won MAC and Bistro cabaret awards.

Designing Miss Coco Peru's Liquid Universe are Markus Maurette (set), Gregg Cook (costumes), Josh Monroe (lighting) and James Murphy (sound). C. Lynne Shankel provides the show's original music and serves as musical director. For tickets ($20) and information on Miss Coco Peru's Liquid Universe, which runs at the Westbeth Theatre Center, 151 Bank St., call (212) 741-0391.
