McPhee will make her Broadway debut in the Sara Bareilles musical beginning April 10.

Ahead of Smash and Scorpion star Katharine McPhee’s first Broadway bow in Waitress, take a listen to her rendition of the second act ballad “She Used to Be Mine” in the video above.

The American Idol alum will make her Broadway debut as Jenna beginning April 10. She takes center stage in the Sara Bareilles musical through June 17.

Bareilles, who earned Tony and Grammy nominations for her score, currently stars as Jenna at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. She takes her final bow March 11; an interim performer has yet to be announced.

Though McPhee has yet to perform on Broadway, she is known to theatre fans for her performance on NBC's Smash, in which she played Karen Cartwright, an aspiring actor from Iowa in contention for the role of Marilyn Monroe in the fictional musical Bombshell. In the second season, Karen went on to star in another show, Hit List, which played the Ethel Barrymore Theatre—directly across the street from the Brooks Atkinson.

The current cast of Waitress also includes Drew Gehling as Dr. Pomatter, Tony nominee as Christopher Fitzgerald, Ben Thompson as Cal, Caitlin Houlahan as Dawn, NaTasha Yvette Williams as Becky, Benny Elledge as Cal, and Lee Wilkof as Joe.
