As The Band's Visit prepares for its Broadway debut this fall, producers are giving fans the chance to hear Katrina Lenk's stirring performance of “Omar Sharif” from the new musical on the show’s website. Listen to the track, featuring the full orchestra, here.

The Band’s Visit—David Yazbek and Itamar Moses’ heartfelt tale of life and love in a small Israeli town—will begin previews October 7 at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre. Tickets are available at Telecharge.com prior to the box office officially opening September 4.

The show, directed by David Cromer, arrives on Broadway following an acclaimed and sold-out world premiere at Off-Broadway’s Atlantic Theater Company—with much of the original cast and creative team in tow.

Based on the 2007 screenplay by Eran Kolirin, The Band’s Visit follows the story of an Egyptian police band, who, after a mix-up at the border, find themselves in a remote village in the middle of the Israeli desert. With no bus or hotel in sight, the band members are led into unlikely friendships with some of the locals, causing their lives to intertwine in unexpected and spectacular ways.

As previously announced, Lenk will reprise her role as the enigmatic and charming Dina, who runs a small coffee shop and welcomes two of the band members into her home.
