Cast Recordings & Albums Listen to The Regrettes’ Cover of Hamilton’s ‘Helpless,’ the Latest in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s #Hamildrop Series The band puts their indie-punk spin on the Hamilton track.
The Regrettes and Hamilton

Last month, Lin-Manuel Miranda dropped “First Burn,” an initial draft of the Hamilton ballad “Burn” as performed by five Elizas. The latest in his #Hamildrop series continues the Eliza theme: a cover of “Helpless” from the punk rock band The Regrettes.

Check out the new music video for the track below.

The #Hamildrop series promises new Hamilton-inspired content every month through December. Earlier tracks include Miranda and Ben Platt’s “Found Tonight” (a mashup of Hamilton’s "The Story of Tonight" and Dear Evan Hansen’s "You Will Be Found") and "The Hamilton Polka" from Weird Al Yankovic.

The L.A.-based Regrettes released their latest EP, Attention Seeker, in February.
