News Little Shop's Butler is Blanche in Streetcar Reading Kerry Butler, who is currently playing the ill-fated Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, will read the role of Blanche Du Bois in the April 29 Food for Thought reading series.

Hairspray's Joel Vig will direct the reading of "Roads Not Taken: Six Unpublished Scenes from Streetcar" at the National Arts Club. Robert Cuccioli will perform the role of Stanley Kowalski opposite Butler's Du Bois, and John Doman and Lisa Bostnar will play, respectively, Mitch and Stella. Lunch begins at 12:30 PM followed by the 1:30 PM reading.

Kerry Butler currently stars opposite Hunter Foster in Little Shop of Horrors at the Virginia Theatre. She portrayed Penny Pingleton in the original Broadway cast of Hairspray, and her other Broadway credits include Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Eponine in Les Misérables and Ms. Jones in Blood Brothers. Off-Broadway she was seen in Bat Boy The Musical, The "I" Word, Prodigal and The Folsom Head.

Food for Thought Lunch Hour Theatre — run by artistic director Susan Charlotte — plays the National Arts Club, located in Manhattan at 15 Gramercy Park South.
